Jesus asks a woman for a drink at noon, and a conversation nobody was supposed to have changes a whole town.

Nobody draws water at noon. You go in the cool of the morning, with everyone else. Unless, of course, you would rather not be with everyone else.
So the woman comes alone, and finds a Jewish teacher sitting on the edge of the well, asking her for a drink. Every rule of the day said this conversation should not happen.
Being fully known
He tells her everything she has ever done, and somehow she runs back into town not ashamed but amazed. Come and see, she says. Being fully known, it turns out, is not the same as being condemned.
Whatever you would rather nobody knew, bring it to the well. He is already sitting there.
