All recent work-
Heating & cooling — Fairbank Road
Two-storey heat pump, no ductwork
Four ductless heads replaced electric baseboard, and the winter bill dropped by a third.
-
Plumbing — Oak Row
Kitchen re-pipe after a slab leak
Copper rerouted through the ceiling instead of breaking the slab, and the cabinets stayed.
-
Electrical — Colliers Mill
Panel upgrade to 200 amp
Every circuit labelled, permit pulled, and the town inspection passed the same afternoon.

Repairs & handyman — Wrenfield
The whole fridge list, in one visit
Eleven small jobs, from a sticking back door to a deck rail that had gone soft.
The same crew, the same schedule, the same standard.
Lantern started as two technicians and one van in Wrenfield. We kept the part people liked — you talk to the person who does the work — and added the trades they kept asking us for.
- One number for all of it
- No three-way call between a plumber, an electrician and whoever installed the furnace.
- The price before the work
- A flat quote in writing. If something turns up behind the wall, we stop and re-quote.
- We leave it clean
- Floor protection on the way in, old parts on the counter, and a sweep before we go.

What happens after you call.

1
A person answers
No phone tree and no callback queue. Tell us what the house is doing and we book the window.
-
2
We look, then we price
The technician diagnoses on site and hands you a flat price before anything is opened up.
-
3
It gets finished
Four out of five repairs are done on the first visit, because the common parts are already on the van.

The furnace quit on the coldest night of the year. Someone picked up at eleven, a van was here by seven, and we had heat before the school run.

They found the leak with a meter instead of a sledgehammer, gave me the price in writing first, and the floor went back exactly as it was.

I had a list of nine things I had been ignoring for two years. They did eight in an afternoon and told me honestly that the ninth needed a specialist.

Questions before you book.
Anything else, call and ask. We would rather answer it now than on the driveway.
Do you charge for the estimate?
Replacement quotes and handyman lists are free. Repair diagnostics are $89, and we waive it if you have us do the work.
How fast can you get here?
No heat, no cool and a backed-up main are same-day calls. Everything else is usually booked inside two working days.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully — HVAC, electrical and plumbing licences, plus liability and workers' compensation. We are happy to send the certificates before we start.
Will one crew really cover all four trades?
Each technician is licensed in their own trade, but they share one schedule and one phone number, so you are never chasing three companies.
What does it cost before you begin?
You get a flat price in writing before any work starts. If we find something behind the wall, we stop and re-quote rather than adding it to the bill.
Which towns do you cover?
Wrenfield, Oak Row, Colliers Mill and the river side of Route 9. Call anyway if you are just past the edge — often we can still come.
Something in the house needs looking at.
Call and a person picks up, or send the details and we will come back with a window today.
