Your website, read in the visitor's own language.

A tourist town, a bilingual neighbourhood, a trade that serves everyone. This plugin adds a language switcher and serves translated versions of your pages, prepared on the platform rather than translated live in the browser, so they load fast and search engines can index them.

Website Translator

Planned

A language switcher that offers machine-translated versions of your pages, prepared by the platform and served as real pages.

Site-wide overlay
Applied as your pages are served, on every page, with no republish.

Choose the languages. The platform prepares a translation of each page when it changes, and you can correct any line before it is served.

Translation that is part of the site.

  1. Prepared, not live

Pages are translated on the platform when you publish, then served as real pages at their own addresses. Nothing translates in the browser, so nothing flickers and nothing loads from a translation service.

  2. Correctable

Read each translation in the dashboard and correct any line. Your corrections are kept when the page changes.

  3. Indexable

Each language has its own address with the language markup search engines expect, so a Spanish search can find your Spanish page.

  4. A switcher that is named

The switcher lists languages in their own names, remembers the choice, and is a real menu for keyboard and screen readers.

How it will work.

  1. Choose the languages On the Plugins page, pick up to six languages. The platform prepares the first translations.
  2. Review Read the translations in the dashboard and fix anything that reads wrong. A native speaker's five minutes is worth a lot here.
  3. Switch it on The switcher appears and translated pages are served on your dev site and your domain.

Good to know

  • Translations are machine-made and say so in a small line, unless you mark a page as reviewed.
  • Preparing translations uses AI and counts against your website's AI allowance, once per page change, not per visitor.
  • Forms, buttons and the cookie banner are translated too, so a visitor can complete a task in their language.

Practical answers before you plan on it.

Read every answer
How good are the translations?

Good enough to be understood and to be corrected easily. They are machine translations, marked as such until you review them. For a business that depends on a language, a native speaker's review is the right final step.

Does it cost extra?

Preparing a translation uses your website's AI allowance, once per page change. Serving the translated pages costs nothing more.

Can I write a page in another language myself?

Yes. A translation you edit fully is kept as yours, and a page can be written in the second language directly.
