For many local businesses the Facebook Page is where customers talk. This plugin brings those recommendations onto your website, through Facebook's official connection, so a visitor who never opens Facebook still sees them.

You sign in to Facebook once to grant read access to your Page. The platform never sees your password and never posts on your behalf.

Recommendations, read the official way.

  1. An official connection

    Recommendations are read through Facebook's own API after you connect your Page. No scraping, no embed code, nothing that breaks when Facebook changes its layout.

  2. Positive, negative, or both

    Facebook recommendations are a yes or a no rather than stars. Show only positive ones, or show all of them and let the ratio speak.

  3. Grid, list or slider

    Pick the layout that fits the page. Each recommendation carries the reviewer's first name, the date and the text, styled by your branding.

  4. Combine with other sources

    When the All-in-one Reviews plugin ships, Facebook recommendations feed into it beside Google and Yelp.

How it will work.

  1. Connect your Page On the Plugins page, choose Facebook Reviews and sign in to Facebook to grant read access to the Page you manage.
  2. Choose what to show Positive only or all, how many, and the layout. Max can place the section on any page.
  3. Save Recommendations appear on your dev site immediately and on your domain when you publish the page.

Good to know

  • Access is read-only and scoped to the one Page you choose. You can disconnect it at any time from the Plugins page.
  • Recommendations are cached on the platform and refreshed on a schedule, so your pages stay fast.
  • Only the text, first name and date are shown. Profile photos are not fetched.

Why does it need me to sign in to Facebook?

Facebook only lets a Page's own admin grant access to its recommendations. Signing in once is how you grant that, and the platform stores only the resulting read permission.

Can I remove a recommendation from my site?

You can choose to show positive recommendations only. Beyond that, the plugin shows what is on your Page, so a recommendation is removed from your site by removing it on Facebook.

Does it post anything to my Page?

No. The connection is read-only. It cannot post, reply, or change anything on Facebook.
