Yelp still decides where a lot of restaurants, salons and trades get chosen. This plugin shows your Yelp standing on your own website, within the limits Yelp sets for its data, and always links back to the full reviews.

Yelp's API returns your rating, review count and up to three review excerpts with links to the full text. The plugin shows exactly that and no more.

Your Yelp standing, within Yelp's rules.

  1. Rating and count from Yelp

    Your star rating and review count are read from Yelp's own API and shown with Yelp's required attribution and link.

  2. Excerpts that link home

    Yelp provides up to three recent review excerpts. Each is shown with the reviewer's first name and a link to the full review on Yelp, as Yelp requires.

  3. A badge or a section

    A compact badge for a header or footer, or a fuller section with the excerpts, both styled by your branding.

  4. Feeds the all-in-one view

    When the All-in-one Reviews plugin ships, your Yelp rating sits beside Google and Facebook in one section.

How it will work.

  1. Find your business On the Plugins page, search Yelp for your business by name and town and pick it.
  2. Choose a layout Badge or section. Max can place either on any page you name.
  3. Save Your Yelp rating appears on your dev site immediately and on your domain when you publish.

Good to know

  • Yelp's terms limit how its reviews may be displayed. The plugin stays inside them, which is why excerpts are short and always link to Yelp.
  • Data is cached on the platform and refreshed on a schedule so your pages stay fast and Yelp's limits are respected.
  • There is nothing to sign in to. Your Yelp business listing is public.

Why only three reviews?

Yelp's API provides up to three review excerpts per business and requires a link to the full review. The plugin follows that rather than scraping more.

Can I hide my Yelp rating if it is low?

You can simply not enable the plugin. When it is enabled, the rating shown is Yelp's real figure.

Do I need a Yelp account?

No. The plugin reads public business data through Yelp's API. Claiming your Yelp listing is a good idea anyway, but it is separate from this.
