Testimonials Slider

A slider of testimonials you collected yourself, with a name, a photo and a rating for each, managed in the Content place.

Each testimonial is a row in your website's Content place, so you can add, edit and reorder them without touching a page.

A slider that behaves.

  1. Rows, not code

    Testimonials live as rows in the Content place: quote, name, role or town, an optional photo and an optional star rating. Add one and it appears everywhere the slider is placed.

  2. Keyboard and screen-reader friendly

    Previous and next are real buttons, the current slide is announced, and swiping works on touch. Autoplay pauses on hover, on focus, and when the visitor prefers reduced motion.

  3. Cards, quotes or a single spotlight

    Choose a row of cards, a large single quote, or a compact strip for a sidebar. Your branding sets the type, colours and corners.

  4. Placed by Max

    Ask Max to add testimonials to a page and it drops the section in with your rows already showing.

How it will work.

  1. Add your testimonials Open the Content place, choose Testimonials, and add a row for each customer who has agreed to be quoted.
  2. Place the slider Ask Max to put testimonials on the homepage, or on any page, and pick the layout you like.
  3. Keep it current Add new rows as good words arrive. Every page that shows the slider updates with them.

Good to know

  • Testimonials are your own content, stored with your website and exported with it.
  • Star ratings are optional per testimonial and are shown as text as well as stars, so the meaning never depends on colour or shape.
  • No autoplay when a visitor has asked their device for reduced motion. The slider still works, it just waits to be asked.

How is this different from the Google Reviews plugin?

Google Reviews shows what people wrote on Google, unedited. The testimonials slider shows quotes you collected yourself and typed in, which you fully control.

Do I need permission to quote a customer?

Yes. Only publish words a customer has agreed to share, and attribute them the way they asked. The plugin makes them easy to remove if that changes.

Can I show a photo with each quote?

Yes. Each testimonial row can carry a photo from your Media Library, and the slider shows it beside the quote when it is there.
