How to connect it.
- Copy your Container ID Sign in to Google Tag Manager, open your container, and copy the ID that looks like GTM-XXXXXXX, or copy the whole snippet.
- Paste it on your Plugins page Open Plugins from your website's page on the dashboard, choose Google Tag Manager, paste, and save.
- Manage tags in Tag Manager From now on every tag change happens on Google's side. Your website keeps loading the same container.
Good to know
- Your dev site loads the container too, so exclude your own visits in the tools you connect.
- While the cookie banner is on, Tag Manager's no-JavaScript fallback is skipped. Without JavaScript a visitor has no way to consent.
- Disconnect by clearing the field and saving. The container stops loading from the next request.
