A menu that is text, not a photo of a menu.

A photo of a menu cannot be searched, read aloud, or changed at lunchtime. This section keeps every dish as a row with its price, description and dietary marks, shows it grouped into sections, and prints cleanly.

Each dish is a row in your Content place. Change a price there and it changes on the page, the print version and the structured data.

A menu you can change at lunchtime.

  1. Rows, not code

    Dishes live in the Content place, grouped into sections such as Starters and Mains, with a price and a description each.

  2. Dietary marks with meaning

    Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergen marks are shown as symbols with spoken names and a key, never as colour alone.

  3. Several menus

    Lunch, dinner, drinks, kids: each is its own group, shown on one page with tabs or on separate pages.

  4. Print and structured data

    A print stylesheet gives a clean paper menu, and Menu structured data lets search engines understand what you serve.

How it will work.

  1. Add your dishes Open the Content place, choose Menu, and add each dish with its section, price and marks. Max can enter a menu from a photo or a PDF you give it.
  2. Place the menu Ask Max for the menu on its own page or on the homepage, with tabs for each menu if you have several.
  3. Change prices in one place Edit a row and the page follows.

Good to know

  • Prices are text so "market price" and "from $12" are fine.
  • A dish can be hidden without being deleted, for the special that is not on this week.
  • The print version has no images or colours, just the menu, for the copies on the tables.

Read every answer
Can Max copy my existing menu?

Yes. Give it a photo, a PDF or a link and it enters the dishes as rows for you to check.

Can I show photos of dishes?

Yes, optionally per dish, from your Media Library. The menu reads fine without them.

Does it take orders?

No. It links to your ordering service if you use one. Ordering on the site itself is on the forms roadmap.
