Some sites like to show they are busy. This section shows a visit count that the platform keeps as it serves your pages, with no cookie, no script from anyone else, and no invented starting number.

Visitor Counter

A small section that shows how many people have visited your website, counted by the platform without cookies.

Page section
Placed on a page by Max or in Edit mode, styled by your branding.

The count is kept by the platform from the requests it serves. There is nothing to connect and nothing to consent to.

Honest numbers, or none.

  1. Counted at the edge

    Visits are counted as your pages are served, without a cookie or a script, so the counter needs no consent and never slows a page.

  2. Total or this month

    Show all-time visits, visits this month, or both, formatted for the visitor's locale.

  3. Starts at zero

    The count begins when you switch it on. There is no option to add a starting number, because a made-up count is not a count.

  4. Quiet by design

    A small line in a footer or sidebar, in your branding. It does not animate or tick upward while someone watches.

How it will work.

  1. Switch it on The platform begins counting visits from that moment.
  2. Place it Ask Max to add the visitor count to the footer or any page.
  3. Leave it It updates on its own as visits arrive.

Good to know

  • A visit is a served page, with obvious bots and crawlers excluded. It is a fair count, not an audited one.
  • Nothing is stored about the visitor, so the counter needs no cookie banner entry.
  • For real analysis, the Google Analytics plugin is the right tool. The counter is for showing, not measuring.

Read every answer
Can I set the starting number?

No. The count starts when you enable it and only ever reflects real visits since then.

Does it need consent?

No. It counts served pages and stores nothing about the visitor, so there is nothing to consent to.

Is it accurate?

It is a fair count of pages served with known bots removed. It is not a substitute for analytics.
