Page settings
Set a page's URL, visibility, layout, and search details, or duplicate and delete the page.
Every page has a settings panel: hover its row in the Pages panel and press the pencil
labeled Edit page. You can also reach the button with Tab; its label appears on focus.
You can also open it from Quick open (⌘K) by typing the page's name.
The Pages panel reflects the website's URL hierarchy. Top-level pages stay aligned, while pages with nested addresses are indented beneath them. Each additional address level adds another step of indentation, and the full path remains in the page label so the relationship is still clear when searching or using assistive technology.
URL
The page's URL, shown as it will appear on your domain. The homepage always lives at the root and can't be moved; any other page can be renamed here. Changing the address moves the page — links elsewhere on your site that point at the old address will need updating, so the builder tells you the moment an address is already taken by another page.
Addresses use lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes. Spaces become dashes as you type.
Layout
The layout is the shell a page renders inside: the header, the footer, and everything in
the document's <head>. Most websites have one. If yours has several, choose which one
this page uses.
Visibility & SEO
These fields are what search engines and social networks read about the page:
- Visibility — Public allows search engines to list the page. Unlisted keeps
the page available to anyone with its address while telling search engines not to index
or follow it. It is also omitted from the automatic HTML sitemap at
/sitemap. Unlisted pages carry a crossed-out-eye symbol in the Pages panel. - Browser title — the text in the browser tab and the headline of a search result. Its live counter appears beside the label, shows your current count out of 65, and turns red above 65. Longer titles can still be entered and saved.
- Meta description — its live counter appears beside the label, shows your current count out of 155, and turns red above 155. This is guidance only: longer descriptions can still be entered and saved.
- Open Graph Image — when a layout offers this field, use a 1200×630 px image for a well-sized preview on social networks.
The canonical URL is managed automatically from the page's URL and the website's current address. It remains in the generated website source for search engines, but it is not an editable setting, so it cannot accidentally point to the wrong page or domain.
Pages are Public by default. A page used as a form's on-site thank-you destination defaults to Unlisted; you can still choose Public explicitly. A layout can offer more sharing fields, such as a social-sharing image. If yours shows only title and description and you want more, ask Max to add the fields to the layout.
Visibility is the only search-visibility control. Some websites also showed a Hide this page from search engines switch that came from their layout rather than from the builder. It never governed anything — every page's search instruction is written from Visibility when the website is built — so it no longer appears. Nothing was lost: a page whose switch was on now reads as Unlisted, and you can change it here like any other page.
Leaving a field empty uses the layout's default. Press Save settings to apply the changes; the canvas re-renders once they land.
Business schema
If your layout has Include business schema, switching it on opens Confirm business schema before enabling it. The pencil labeled Edit business schema reopens the review. Opening page settings does not open the review automatically. Cancel discards the modal's edits and keeps the previous switch setting.
Review your business name, type, public website URL, phone, and address. Choose the most specific accurate type offered. A local business needs a physical street address, city, and two-letter country code; an organization without a public location can use Organization instead. Only publish contact details you want visitors to see.
Hours, description, photos, logo, price range, map coordinates, and official profile links are optional. Leave unknown hours out. Add separate rows for split shifts; closing before opening means overnight. Use 00:00–23:59 for a 24-hour day and 00:00–00:00 for a closed day.
Confirm that the facts are accurate and visible on this page, then press Confirm details and Save settings. Confirming alone prepares the change; it does not save it. Turning the switch off retains the details for later. This edits this page's structured data, not its visible content, other pages, or Company Details. Update visible content too when business facts change.
Existing template details are used as a starting point when there is one business entry. The editor supports the fields listed above, not every Schema.org property or seasonal hours; use Code mode for more specialized business markup. Pages with multiple business entries must be reviewed in Code mode so unrelated businesses are not replaced.
The saved JSON-LD is used in previews and published builds. It helps describe the page; it does not guarantee rankings or a rich search result. Follow Google's local business guidance and structured data policies.
Duplicate and delete
Duplicate page makes a copy beside the original — about becomes about-copy — and opens it, which is the quickest way to start a page that resembles one you already have.
Delete page asks for confirmation, then removes the page and its address. The homepage cannot be deleted.
Where the settings live
The title, description, and layout fields are written onto the page's layout tag. Visibility
is platform-owned and stored in resources/data/page-settings.json so it works even when a
page has no layout SEO field. Reviewed business schema is stored beside visibility in that same page record. These settings travel with the website, are visible to Max, and are
covered by the page's revision history.
