Organizations

An organization is the container your websites live in. It holds the websites, the plan that pays for them, and the people who can work on them.

You got one automatically when you signed up — there was no separate step, and there is no way to have an account with no organization at all. Its URL identifier starts from its name and is the first path segment in app links: /acme-plumbing/sites/main-site.

An administrator can assign a custom organization URL. Once assigned, it stays the same when you edit the organization's details or name. Changing the organization URL does not change any published website's domain; old organization links stop working.

When editing your address, you can select a Google suggestion or type the address manually. You can continue correcting the fields while a lookup is pending; an older response or failed lookup will not replace your newer address entry.

Why organizations exist

Most people never need more than the one they were given. Two situations make a second one worth having:

• You build websites for other people. A separate organization per client keeps their websites, their team, and their invoice apart from yours — and makes it possible to hand the whole thing over later.
• You run genuinely separate businesses. Two businesses, two plans, two sets of company details, one login.

Everything is scoped to the organization: websites, teammates, plan, AI credits, invoices, and company details.

The organization navigation always keeps Websites, Forms, and Games visible, so each kind of project has a predictable home whether the organization already has one or is about to start its first. Members and organization settings follow those three product tabs; owners and admins also see Billing there.

Open Websites to see every website in the current organization. The page starts with the most recently modified website first. Use Sort by to order the collection by modification date or name, and use the Grid and List controls to choose the layout that works best for you.

The dashboard shows your six most recently edited websites, newest first. When you have more than that, a View all link beside the heading and a View all websites button under the grid both open the full list. Use Show on the Websites page to display all websites, only dev websites, or only live websites; a website is live only after its published version is available on its own domain. The grid or list choice is remembered on this browser.

The website switcher in the top navigation also labels every website Live or Dev, including the selected website beside its name. Long website lists scroll inside the menu while All websites and New website remain visible at the bottom. Dev means the website is not yet published on a connected custom domain; its preview can still be available. The separate Pay As You Go, Lite, or Pro badge describes the plan, not whether the website is live.

Forms across your websites

Every form on every website you can see is listed in one place: Forms, at /your-organization/forms. Websites are grouped, most recently active first, and each form shows the pages it appears on, how many submissions it has received, how many are still unread, and when the last one arrived. Clicking a form opens its inbox on that website, so reading, exporting and replying work exactly as they do from the website's own Forms tab. A form that has been removed from its website stays listed for as long as it holds submissions.

You see the websites you have access to — the whole organization if you own it or are an admin, otherwise the websites you were given.

Forms live on your websites today. If the page is empty, ask Max on any website to add a contact form, a quote request or a newsletter sign-up. Standalone forms with their own address, outside any website, are coming.

Games

Open Games for the game-building starting point. Until the standalone game builder is released, the page is clearly marked Coming soon, explains what Games will do, and gives you example ideas without showing a button that cannot work. When Games is available, the same page becomes the place an organization owner or admin starts a game; members can still open the page and see what belongs to the organization.

Switching between organizations

The switcher is in the top navigation, next to your organization's name. Choosing another organization moves the whole app — dashboard, websites, billing — into it. Your choice is remembered for the rest of your session, so you stay where you last were.

The same New organization entry appears in your account menu and in the command menu (⌘K), if that is where your hands already are.

Creating one

New organization in the switcher. You give it a name and its company details, and you become its owner.

A new organization starts on the Free plan with its own website allowance and its own AI credits — nothing is shared with the organization you created it from, including your subscription. If you want a paid plan there, you subscribe there.

Organization details

An organization's page carries its display name, legal name, phone, address, and logo. A general organization email is not requested: contact email belongs to each website, while the organization keeps a separate primary billing email for Stripe. These details seed a new website in the organization and help identify the organization on invoices.

When address suggestions are available, they begin after the first character you type. Choose a suggestion to fill the city, state, postal code, and country, or keep typing and enter any of those fields manually.

Changing them later does not reach back into websites that already exist — each website's company details are its own from the moment it is created.

Ownership

Every organization has exactly one owner, and ownership outranks every role. The owner is the only person who can transfer a website out, delete a website, or hand the organization to somebody else. See Your team.
