Browse and manage plugins

Find, connect, configure, and place website plugins from one searchable gallery.

Open Plugins from your website to browse built-in features and third-party connections. Each card explains what a plugin does, shows its current status, and opens its setup. Use the category list beside the gallery to narrow it, or search by a plugin's name, purpose, setting, or saved value. Your category and search are kept in the page address, so browser navigation and bookmarks return to the same view.

Browse and installed plugins

  • Browse shows the full catalog with available tools first.
  • Installed shows tools configured for this website, including connected analytics, the Cookies & Privacy banner when enabled, and 301 Redirects with at least one rule.
  • Coming soon means you can learn about a planned plugin but cannot install it yet. It is not a release-date promise.

Each plugin's page in the public plugin catalog also says which products it works with — Website, Form, or Game. Every plugin works with a website; standalone forms and games are coming, and their galleries will only offer the plugins that fit them.

Understanding plugin status

Every card uses words and an icon, not color alone:

  • Available — ready to connect or add.
  • Connected — the site-wide settings are saved and active.
  • Installed on N pages — a page section is already used on that many pages.
  • Needs attention — the connection needs to be repaired before it can keep working.

People with view-only site access can inspect this information and saved settings, but cannot change them.

What you can connect

Select the card and complete the fields it asks for. A plugin may ask for text, an account ID, a website address, an on/off choice, a selection, a color, or a weekly schedule. Required and invalid values are explained beside the affected field. Save once; every field is checked together and a confirmation appears when the settings are live.

Two current connections use IDs:

  • Google Analytics — a Measurement ID that looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX.
  • Google Tag Manager — a Container ID that looks like GTM-XXXXXXX.

Both come from the service itself. Sign in to Google Analytics or Tag Manager, find your property or container, and copy the ID.

Pasting the whole snippet is fine

Google usually offers you a block of JavaScript rather than a bare ID. Paste the whole thing — the ID is picked out of it for you. If nothing that looks like an ID can be found, you are told so rather than left with a plugin that quietly does nothing.

Adding a plugin section to a page

For a plugin that appears inside page content, choose Add to a page. The Website builder opens on the home page with a suggested request already filled in, such as placing the section below the hero. Review or change that request before sending it to Max.

Managed website features

Cookies & Privacy and 301 Redirects also appear in the gallery. Their cards open their complete editors instead of reducing those features to one setting field.

Disconnecting

Open Manage, choose Disconnect, and confirm the plugin name in the dialog. The plugin leaves Installed and remains available in Browse. The tracking code stops being added from the next request onward; it was never part of your page files.

When it takes effect

Immediately, on your dev site and your live site. Plugin code is added as pages are served, so connecting and disconnecting never rebuilds your website and never needs publishing.

That does mean your dev site is tracked too. If you would rather not count your own previewing, exclude your own traffic in the analytics tool, or use its debug view.

If your website's cookie banner is switched on, analytics does not run until a visitor allows the Analytics category. The scripts are still added to the page, but they are inert until then. Tag Manager's no-JavaScript fallback is skipped entirely while the banner is on, because without JavaScript there is no way for a visitor to consent in the first place.

Switch the banner off and analytics runs for everyone, immediately. Which of those is correct depends on where your visitors are; the banner exists because for a lot of businesses it is not optional.
