Your account and organization
How accounts, organizations, teams, and billing fit together — and where each of them is managed.
Three things are easy to confuse, so it is worth naming them once.
- Your account is you: an email address, a password, and however you prefer to sign in.
- An organization is where websites live and what pays for them. You get one when you sign up, and you can belong to several.
- A website belongs to exactly one organization at a time.
Everything about billing, teammates, and permissions happens at the organization level, not the account level. That is the piece worth remembering: two people working on the same website are two accounts inside one organization.
Where each thing is managed
- Organizations — creating one, switching between them, and the details an organization carries.
- Your team — inviting people, what each role may do, and handing over ownership.
- Billing and invoices — your plan, your AI credit usage, your invoices, and how to change or cancel.
- Your profile and sign-in — your name and photo, your password, two-factor authentication, passkeys, and light or dark mode.
